Asia-Pacific stocks decline following overnight Wall Street plunge
Shares in Asia-Pacific were lower in Tuesday morning trade following an overnight drop on Wall Street as fears surrounding the coronavirus pandemic lingered.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 declined 0.47% while the Topix index shed 0.34%. South Korea’s Kospi slipped 0.31%.
Shares in Australia dipped, with the S&P/ASX 200 down 0.16%.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan traded 0.16% lower.
