• Asian stocks retreated on Thursday, taking their cues from a subdued session on Wall Street, while the dollar retained gains made after the Federal Reserve's hawkish policy statement.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan .MIAPJ0000PUS slid 0.4 percent on Thursday, dragged lower by commodities, energy and financials stocks.

• China stocks extended losses on Thursday to close at three-month lows, after a survey showing softer services sector activity raised concerns over growing economic risks.

The blue-chip CSI300 index fell 0.3 percent, to 3,404.39 points, while the Shanghai Composite Index also closed down 0.3 percent at 3,127.37 points.

• Hong Kong stocks slipped slightly on Thursday, as a jump in index heavyweight HSBC Holdings largely counterbalanced any bearish sentiment stemming from the U.S. Federal Reserve's hawkish policy statement.

The Hang Seng index fell 0.1 percent, to 24,683.88, while the China Enterprises Index lost 0.8 percent, to 10,088.02 points.
