• The dollar recouped some ground after dipping to a two-week low against the yen in Asian trading on Monday, but it lacked momentum as investors awaited this week's speech by U.S. President Donald Trump for clues on tax reform.

The dollar added 0.2 percent to 112.20 yen JPY=, after falling as low as 111.920 yen earlier in the session, its lowest since Feb. 9.

• President Trump is set to deliver his first address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night. Last month, Speaker Paul Ryan formally invited Mr. Trump last month to deliver the address.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 28, 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. ET

Likely topics include his revised travel ban, which he’s expected to unveil next week. He almost certainly will talk about repealing and replacing Obamacare, passing a tax reform package and his plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The president will preview his address in an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.

• Trump's administration will begin rolling back Obama-era environmental regulations in an "aggressive way" as soon as this week, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency says, adding he understands why some Americans want to see his agency eliminated completely.

• Oil prices rose on Monday, with the market set to rise for five out of seven sessions as a global supply glut appears to ease, but rising U.S. production limited gains.

Brent crude oil LCOc1 climbed 0.8 percent to $56.44 per barrel by 0740 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate CLc1 added 0.7 percent to $54.35 a barrel.
